Manu Narayan, Hero of Bombay Dreams to host and debut new songs at the Bollywood Fashion Awards.

New York, May 2, 2006:

The Bollywood Fashion Awards 2006 will be the 6th annual gala event of international stature honoring the outstanding achievements of Indian fashion designers during the prior year. Unlike any fashion awards of its kind, the event will bring together the top international designers, most ravishing models, and the hottest celebrities together to honor the colliding worlds of fashion and entertainment. The Awards will be held on Saturday, July 29th 2006 at the world-famous Roseland Ballroom. For over 75 years, the Roseland Ballroom has hosted concerts and fashion shows for the likes of for Madonna and Versace respectively.

The most extensive and elaborate preparations are underway to make the Bollywood Fashion Awards Night a spectacular and dazzling event.

Major celebrities like Tyra Banks, Jerry Hall, Steven Seagal, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Nikki Hilton, and many others have donned Indian outfits and finery at past Fashion Awards. The front rows of the shows have been lined with virtually the entire Bollywood galaxy of stars (Sanjay Dutt, Rani Mukerji, Bipasha Basu, Urmila Matondkar, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani, Saif Ali Khan, Zeenat Aman Hema Malini, Esha Deol, Akshay Kumar, and many others) and major movers and shakers from the West such as Harvey Weinstein, Diane Von Furstenberg and other A-list personalities.

Past Designers who have set the catwalk on fire at the previous Bollywood Fashion Awards include: Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla, Tarun Tahiliani, Ritu Beri, Suneet Varma, Diane Von Furstenberg, Anne Bowen (Designer to Gwyneth Paltrow, Liz Hurley, etc.). The designers showcasing their collection this year are the fashion guru to the stars Manish Malhotra and India's most celebrated new designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee

The show will feature India's supermodels Former Mrs. World, Aditi Govitrikar, Ms. Earth,Shamita Singha will be walking the ramp, Parmita Katkar, who acted in Page 3, the movie, Anchal Kumar, the hot supermodel who has been in many commercials and advertisments throughout India, Pia Trivedi, who is Kingfisher's top Supermodel and a VJ for Channel V, Kavita Karayat, a supermodel and rated as one of the best runway models in India, Film star Aryan Vaid, who has won Mr. India international the Grasim India, Amit Gaur, a male supermodel who has now turned actor, Gauhar Khan, a dazzling supermodel, a VJ on Zoom and has done many music videos and item numbers in movies, Prasanna, an Indian supermodel who is now modeling in the high flying American circuit. Local models from the U.S. like Manisha Panwala, Megha Lathigara, Rishi Nijhawan, Lena Gamon, Tashi Sharma and national south-Asian television personality, nationally known TV personality, Obaid Kadwani will add a unique flavor to the catwalk.

Besides hosting and performing by Bombay Dreams hero, Manu Narayan, there will be dazzling performances by the hottest British female group -Rouge, Amir Jamal of Kaho Na Kaho fame, DJ Sanj, Thara and Sourabh Jain. Arya International dancers will make you tap your feet.
